Photo Assignment 4: Light1/13/2020 For the fourth photo assignment, I chose to do light. I have a bunch of lights in my computer that make it very colorful so I took pictures of that and my mouse. Aperture: f/5.6 Shutter Speed: 1/50s ISO: 12800 I had to mess with a lot of settings in Lightroom to make it go from blue and purple to something completely different. I experimented in changing the colors of the lights in my PC and mouse and I also messed around with a desk lamp I had to change up the lighting. I messed with the color calibration settings to turn the blue, purple, and red lights yellow.

Photo Assignment 3: Nature1/6/2020 For the third photo assignment, I chose nature. I took picture of a snow covered bush right outside my front door. It was really cold outside and I was also holding cold metal. Aperture: f/5.0 Shutter Speed: 1/250s ISO: 4500 I tried to make it look like it was snowing by throwing snow over the bush but it didn't show in the camera. I want to work on getting better at using my camera because there are a lot of settings.
Photoshop Assignment: Typology12/18/2019 The purpose of this assignment was to teach us a new way to arrange photos creatively. This assignment was kind of weird for me as I took all the photos from my phone without a tripod. I had to make sure I held the phone in the same spot for all the pictures. This assignment was kind of boring and it took me a while to arrange the photos in Photoshop.
Photo Assignment 2: Macro12/9/2019 For the second photo assignment, I chose to do macro. I took pictures of my Christmas tree on different lighting modes. Aperture: f/5.6 Shutter Speed: 1/6s ISO: 800 I edited all the color temperature and some other color settings to give a cool, winter blue effect to the whole thing. I also turned up the exposure and contrast in Lightroom. I think my color grading went pretty good and it turned out how I wanted it. I still want to improve on color grading and taking better photos.
Photoshop Assignment: Panorama 212/6/2019 The purpose of this assignment was to continue to get us back into getting used to using Photoshop. I liked this assignment better than the assignment in Photo 1 because I was simply more creative in this one. I tried to make a little planet out of one of my panoramas but it didn't turn out well and I had to put multiple gradients under it to hide some imperfections that I couldn't fix. I also tried a vertical panorama in which I stack the photos up and down.
Photoshop Assignment: Framing11/25/2019 In this assignment, we had to add a frame onto images we had previously taken. I think the point of this assignment was to ease us back into Photoshop, especially for those who haven't taken this class in a year or more. This was pretty easy as it was meant to get us back into using Photoshop. All of the instructions were very simple and basic.
Photo 2 Assignment: Color11/25/2019 For the first photo assignment of the trimester, we were given the topic of color. All my photos turned out blurry because of how far I had zoomed in. I was able to make two photos look decent through some editing. The sunset had faded away within 5 minutes so I had to work fast to take my photos. Aperture: f/5.0 Shutter Speed: 1/80s ISO: 2500 I edited the exposure, messed around with the colors until it looked nice, and added a frame. ^unedited I think that all of my raw photos turned out very bad because I didn't use a tripod and I was strapped for time. I think my editing skills have improved as I was able to bring out the colors in the sunset and make them pop.
Photo Assignment: Principles of Design11/22/2019 The purpose of this assignment was to get us used to using cameras again. We had to incorporate the principles of designs in our photos to show understanding of them. This assignment was sort of boring. I wasn't really motivated as much as before. I think I need to work on choosing how much is in my frame to improve my photos.
Photo 2 Intro Post11/19/2019 My name is Deric Dinu Daniel. I play soccer, tennis, and run track. I'm also in the Saline Marching Band as a drumline member, Science Olympiad, and I'm pretty involved at my church. I took this class because I was put into this class as an alternate.
Final Reflection: Photo 111/6/2019 As I walked into this class I didn't know what to expect. This was some random alternate class I had put down and I was put into it. My only previous experience with cameras was just simply messing around with the dials and buttons. The only good photos I had ever taken were on my phone and only edited with simple filters. My first couple photos were all shot on my phone.
On the first week I downloaded Photoshop and Lightroom. I didn't know anything and I just started playing with the sliders and numbers. I started to learn and watched some online tutorials to figure it out. After a while I started to use an actual DSLR and learned to use the camera, and photos instantly turned better. I went from taking lazy snapshots to photos that impressed a lot of people. The first photo above was my Photo 1 submission and the second is Photo 3 submission. AuthorWrite something about yourself.
